UX/UI & Web Design

Mission

Bell Properties aimed to modernize their website to better reflect their trusted position in the Irish property market. Guided by an empathize-driven UX design phase, the project focused on understanding user needs and expectations to shape a clear, intuitive digital experience. These insights informed the design and development of a refined, user-centered website that presents Bell Properties’ services and listings with clarity, professionalism, and ease of use.

My Contributions

I contributed to the Bell Properties website by leading the UX and UI design process in Figma, from early research and user flows to wireframes and high-fidelity screens. I established a scalable design system with consistent typography, color variables, and reusable components, ensuring a cohesive and maintainable user experience across the site.

STEP 1

Getting Started

Discovery
I took initiative by leading the redesign of the Bell Properties brand, starting with a deep exploration of the company’s culture, values, and long-term vision. From there, I reimagined the logo, defined a new institutional color palette, and established a cohesive visual language that felt fresh, modern, and authentic to who the company is and what it believes in. This process resulted in a renewed brand identity that aligns with Bell Properties’ core values while positioning it confidently for the future.

Logo & Visual Identity
Once the foundation was set, I focused on implementing the new brand across the entire Bell Properties digital experience. I designed and projected multiple versions of the website for both desktop and mobile, carefully adapting layouts, scales, and components to different screen sizes while maintaining visual consistency. Throughout this phase, key decisions were shaped through collaborative meetings with the Bell Properties founders, where I listened closely to their vision, empathized with their perspective, and incorporated their feedback at every step. By iterating on brand applications and refining details together, I ensured the final website and brand touchpoints delivered the strongest, most aligned result possible.

STEP 2

Cross-functional collaboration

Product Design
With the brand and visual direction in place, I collaborated closely with the entire Bell Properties team to bring the final website to life. I worked hands-on with copywriters to shape clear, consistent messaging, and partnered with social media and marketing directors to ensure the content aligned with broader communication strategies. In parallel, I engaged with administrative staff to understand how they interact with customers and partners on a daily basis, translating those real-world insights into a more authentic, user-centered experience. This cross-functional collaboration informed the site’s structure, content, and interactions, resulting in a platform that truly reflects how Bell Properties operates and connects with its audience.

Wireframing & Prototyping

Once the site structure was defined, I led the wireframing and prototyping phases by creating low- and high-fidelity flows that shaped the full user experience. This redesign represented a major step forward for Bell Properties, renewing a website that had not evolved in over ten years and bringing it into a more modern, user-centered digital space. Through iterative wireframes, interactive prototypes, and testing cycles, I validated navigation, hierarchy, and interactions to ensure the experience felt intuitive, clear, and aligned with both user needs and business goals.

Design System & Components

To support long-term consistency and scalability, I also designed a component-based system in Figma, organized as a child library that could be easily managed and adapted to Bell Properties’ specific needs. This included defining typography by selecting font families and usage rules, as well as building a structured color system for different states. This design system ensured visual cohesion across all touchpoints while allowing the brand to evolve seamlessly over time.

High-Fidelity UI

Finally, I shaped the entire user interface into a cohesive, high-fidelity experience, continuously validating design decisions with the Bell Properties founders and key staff responsible for day-to-day operations. Through regular check-ins and review sessions, I refined layouts, interactions, and visual details to ensure the interface accurately reflected the company’s vision while remaining practical for real use. In parallel, I iterated on content and conducted testing sessions with potential users, using their feedback to improve clarity, navigation, and overall usability. This collaborative and user-driven process resulted in a modern, trustworthy interface that balances aesthetic refinement with functional efficiency, positioning Bell Properties confidently in a new digital era.

STEP 3

Prototyping & Testing

To close the project, I led the final validation phase using interactive Figma prototypes that closely mirrored real user flows and on-site interactions. These prototypes were reviewed in detail with the Bell Properties founders and key stakeholders during the pre-online phase, allowing us to validate design decisions, fine-tune navigation, and adjust content and microinteractions before launch. Usability testing with potential users provided additional insights, helping ensure the experience was intuitive, accessible, and aligned with real expectations. This iterative feedback loop allowed for fast refinements and a smooth transition from design to implementation.

In parallel, I finalized and validated the auto-administrative platform that enables the Bell Properties team to independently manage and update the website. Designed for flexibility and long-term scalability, the system was tested alongside the final site to ensure consistency and ease of use. To support a successful handoff, I conducted training sessions with staff, walking them through workflows and best practices so they could confidently take ownership of the platform and maintain the site effectively after launch.
